Protecting Religious Liberty

In an ever evolving movement, this groups mission is to be the Liaison between the South West Louisiana Tea Party and the Religious Leaders of the Community.

Our Purpose
To restore Religious Freedom's in America for all Religions!

Our Mission
We are a grassroots organization working collectively to organize Get Out the Vote (GOV) efforts amongst any and all religious communities in order to change the face of Government in an effort to protect the Liberty granted to everyone in America under the 1st Amendment of the Constitution.

Why We Exist
Our Religious Liberty is being stripped away by Government Bureaucrats without regard to the majority our elected represent. When you total up the number of people in all religious communities we ARE THE MAJORITY and by educating ourselves and voting as a group we can change the face of Government as we know it. By replacing those in elected office who disregard our religious liberty, we will restore our 1st Amendment Rights granted to us by OUR CREATOR!

Message to Churches: We are Watching You

As if churches aren't being attacked enough, now comes the second round. First, we had Obamacare, which currently forces churches and religious institutions to violate their faith in order to comply with Obama's law (lawsuits pending). Now, an organization is looking to make sure churches don't step out of line or speak out during this election cycle.

As reported by, 60,000 churches were sent a letter from Americans United for Separation of Church and State. The letter warns churches that their IRS tax-exempt status could be revoked if they speak out too much.

Here is a copy of the letter:

Does this seem like a public service to you? A gentle reminder?

This is a naked attempt to bully churches into being quiet this election. They even offer a section on their website inviting people to "Report a Violation". That's because they know that religiously active American citizens can be all the difference in critical elections across the country this November.

Catholic priests, parishes, dioceses, etc have every right to inform the consciences of their fellow Catholics. Just because you are a person of faith or a 501c3 non-profit does not mean you must give up your right to free speech.

Subject: Protect Religious Liberty Yahoo Group

Christians make up a very large percentage of the population here in the United States yet our voices seem to go unheard in Washington.

One NPR article states there are 15 to 20 million Christians not registered to vote. Its those people we want to find to be a part of the 2012 election. Won't you join our effort to help find and register your fellow church members into the voting process? Maybe you can hold a voter registration after church service a few Sundays to get these people in the voting process?

All this and more will be discussed at the Protect Religious Liberty committee meeting; in the GenSet Generators Office, Thursday at 6pm. GenSet is located at 3708 Hwy 27 South (exit 20 on I-10) about 1 mile south of the interstate.

We have also created a Yahoo Group so you can receive updates and monitor our progress by sending an email to

There has never been a more critical time to get involved in the political process as a Christian to change the face in Washington. Together we can make a difference but we need to share our Christian values with our neighbors and let Washington know we are no longer turning another cheek, we will no longer be the silent majority, our values and morals WILL BE HEARD this November!

At PRL, everyone who shares our Religious values and morals are welcome!

Should the information presented on the Catholic Bishops up-coming action be posted here?

If there is a decay of conscience, the pulpit is responsible for it.
If the public press lacks moral discernment, the pulpit is responsible for it.
If the church is degenerate and worldly, the pulpit is responsible for it.
If the world loses its interest in Christianity, the pulpit is responsible for it.
If Satan rules in our halls of legislation, the pulpit is responsible for it.
If our politics become so corrupt that the very foundations of our government are ready to fall away, the pulpit is responsible for it.

We must restore the rightful place of God in our worldly existence and acknowledge that our founding fathers fully intended that our Republic be a moral and righteous nation founded in Biblical precepts and adherence first to God's will.
