Fiscal Responsibility - Limited Government - Free Market

Update from Glenn's Facebook wall (read the comments!):
Oh By The Way (wink-wink)… Yes. There’s a method to my madness.
Before reading any comments correcting me about the 2/3rds requirement - I do know that the 2/3rds applies to the House; not the States represented in the Electoral College. But hopefully, what I wrote yesterday has motivated some of you to do two things:
1) Begin reading the Constitution.
2) Realize that the Constitution does not address how to proceed in the event that some of the Electors decide not to cast their votes.
UPDATE 2 from Glenn's Facebook wall:
Now that the general idea about not having some of the Electors cast their vote has garnered some attention, I just have to find some time between work today to write my "Correction:" article.
It will outline what the REAL approach to this idea should be.
The 2/3rds approach may not work. But there is another approach which may work even easier.
And if the right people in the high places get wind of it - they just might run with it.

Comment by Mark Parham on November 18, 2012 at 3:51pm I hate to say it but this was definitely the wrong way to go about getting people to read and study the Constitution.Speaking directly to the author of this and not the person posting this "piece".
Will be very hard to have anyone promote or take the author seriously in the future.

Comment by Joseph Wade Miller on November 18, 2012 at 12:30am I think this only accomplishes one thing, it gets people reading the Constitution, which is a great thing.
If Electors don't show up, the courts would order them to, so there really isn't a Constitutional crisis. Art. II, Sec. 1, Clause 2 mandates that Electors must cast a vote, so not voting is a Constitutional violation that a court order would fix pretty quick. Since this would be a direct violation of the Constitution, I don't think it would be a particularly brilliant tactic for us to use, seeing as how a huge part of our ideological framework is built around the founding principles and the Constitution. If we violate the Constitution in this manner, that would be hypocritical.
Comment by Rev. Murray N. Brown, Jr. on November 17, 2012 at 10:56pm So...you get our hopes up, but now we're back to nothing definite... so all the Romney states don't cast their votes...there's still enough electoral votes to elect OBAMA. I need something more definite than this before I share it with my Facebook friends.
